Is there nothing that Geordie duo can’t do? Smoove & Turrell are everywhere – from BBC Radio 2 play listing their last 2 singles to sell out gigs and performances up and down the UK and across Europe which has seen them gain a wealth of fans.
Next up for them is the 12″/digital single of ‘Slow Down’ which contains a cluster of remixes of the album track ‘In Deep’ by Dutch dance masters Kraak & Smaak, DJ Friction, Smoove and little old me!!
The single comes out (digitally at least) 27th February 2012 and is release on London label Jalapeno Records.

Yes yes we are all excited here as its only a week until the first Monster Sneaker EP comes out. Monster Sneaker comprises of myself and Azaxx and for this first EP we are joined by the mighty Colonel Red (Ruff Language/Compost Records/Tokyo Dawn).

The countdown is on until the next Diesler remix hits the streets. Nick Pride & The Pimptones – Remixed Feast Of Jazz is an exciting collection of… guess what… remixes from artists including TM Juke, Danny Massure, Smoove, Renagaes Of Jazz and many more who take prime cuts from The Pimptones debut album Midnight Feast Of Jazz and do their funky thing with them.
The collection is coming out via that lovely Italian label Record Kicks and will be out on download and CD (I am reliably informed).

Couple of gigs bits to highlight. First session is down at Cord, Northern Quarter, Manchester, UK. Its between 8pm-1am on Friday 24th February where myself and Purpose B will be spinning some discs – its FREE ENTRY!!. Then we return Thursday 1st March 7pm-11pm to Cord for our regular monthly shindig of ‘Local’ which is also FREE ENTRY!! The last session was a really good time knees up!
